Keep Thriving Until You Succeed With Andrew McConnell

Andrew McConnell’s story is not your typical Silicon Valley fairytale. Born in Birmingham, AL, he was raised in a neighborhood built on a former tobacco field with a population of ~50,000. Through Stoicism and Southern grit, he managed to graduate from Harvard College, Harvard Law School, and the University of Cambridge with honors, all while becoming a member of the USA Open Water Swimming National Team and earning an international Bronze Medal in the process.

This is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and wherever you stream your podcasts.

In this episode, we talk about:

  • Everything Andrew accomplished through the years
  • What it was like going to Harvard and if that’s what he really wanted
  • How he was able to refocus his vision despite all the distractions
  • Stoicism, and how and why he practiced it
  • His life growing up before becoming successful
